Research Overview
Current research is revolved around soft matter, supramolecular chemistry and interfaces, aiming to develop Nature-inspired adaptive materials & systems for innovative solutions to address grand challenges in health, environment and sustainability. Recently finished projects include: 1) Synthesis of polymeric colloids with advanced structures such as raspberry-like colloids, microcapsules and Janus particles for applications in cosmetics, optical materials, drug-delivery and emulsification; 2) Directed self-assembly of colloids for hierarchical colloidal materials based on supramolecular interactions (cucurbit[n]url host-guest interactions, DNA complexation); 3) Polymeric microreactors for sustainable biphasic catalysis. New projects will be updated soon.
